Feb 22:

Lalmohan Tudu, a senior leader of the Police Santrash Birodhi Janasadharaner committee is killed in firing by security forces to foil an attack on the Katapahari camp near Lalgarh in West Bengal’s Paschim Medinipur district.

The Armed Forces Tribunal quashes the court of Enquiry proceedings against Lt. General Avadesh Prakash in the Sukna land scam and orders a de novo probe.

A record plan outlay of Rs 41,426 crore is proposed for the current year in the Railway Budget.

The Union Cabinet clears the Women’s Reservation Bill which had been hanging fire for close to 14yrs.

Feb 26:
A sum of Rs 66,100 crore is provided for rural development and allocation for defence goes up to Rs.1,47,344 crore in the Union Budget for 2010-11.
